Defense Right Way This session is all about the mindset of defending well. To be composed under pressure, accurately evaluating the sources of potential danger from the opponent, and then selecting the appropriate defensive assets. The idea is to prepare players not just to survive an attack but to turn the tables with smart, aggressive defence.
Don't Hold Back!! Play Active Do not let the title fool you into passive-defensive play. Master the concept of playing active defence: creating counter-threats and seeking dynamic positions. Learn how, while defending, to maintain the initiative and turn a defensive situation into an opportunity for offence.
Counterplay It is the art of creating threats that draw your opponent's attention away from their attack. In this session, we'll look at several different ways to create counterplay: piece activity, tactical shots, and using weaknesses in the opponent's position.
Exchanging: The Art of Reducing Attacking Power Master the art of exchanging pieces to neutralise your opponent's attack. This session is concentrated on when to trade pieces that will result in a reduction of your opponent's attacking chances. Zoom easily into a more manageable position to ace your game.
WITH A PAWN'S AID! Never underestimate the power of a common man. This session will teach how to use pawns properly to block the attack, create a counter-attack, and open-line pieces in the game. Learn the strategic importance of pawn structure and timing in defence.
Indirect Defense Not all defences are direct. The concepts in this session will introduce the use of indirect defence where threats are opposed, not by direct opposition, but by counter-threats or improvement in piece placement or simplification of the position
Simplification- Make it Simple! When under attack, complexity can be your enemy. This session teaches how to simplify into endgames where your defensive chances increase or the opponent's attack loses its bite, by trading down effectively.
Intermediate Move Surprise Learn the power of the unexpected! This session explores the use of intermediate moves, otherwise known as Zwischenzug. By throwing in an unexpected move, you can disrupt your opponent's plans and turn the tables from defence into attack.
Don't Be Too Hasty! Don't Be Greedy Patience is a key virtue in defence. This session highlights the idea that you must not hasten when making your defensive moves nor should you be overly greedy in trying to acquire material, leading you into bad positions. You will learn to appreciate sound defence over grabbing for gain.
Position of The Pieces Positioning is key to defence. This lesson looks at the optimal placement of pieces for defence, how to coordinate your pieces, control key squares, and build a fortress. Good positioning will often discourage your opponent from attacking before it even starts.
Final Test Review At the end of your journey, go through a comprehensive revision of all three phases of the game: opening, middlegame, and endgame. It's a practical test in which you are given situations to apply the principles learned about Rook play, from controlling the centre and taking the initiative to precise techniques in the endgame. This revision will cement everything you have learned so far, and ensure you are fully equipped to tackle the game confidently.

The art of attack falls flat if you can’t defend your fort first. A journey oriented to active and dynamic defensive techniques that realise the safety of the king while keeping counterplay opportunities. The course teaches how a player can transform apparently passive defensive positions into active and challenging ones for his opponent.
